Hi Friends. It is my honor to be a Sole Man for the Inaugural year of the Wine, Women, and Shoes event benefiting the Cincinnati Cancer Advisors. Unfortunately, like many of you, my life has been impacted by differing forms of cancer and the mission of CCA is a much needed source of assistance for those who have been diagnosed with this evil disease as well as their families and loved ones.
My wife and 2 of our best friends are breast cancer survivors. Our dear friend Steve Abbott (Executive Director of the Cincinnati Cancer Advisors) has been fighting metastatic prostate cancer for 10 years and does so with a positivity unmatched by many and with the help of his own organization. My brother-in-law is a prostate cancer survivor. My dear friend's daughter lost her battle to leukemia at the very young age of 6 after a year long battle. My step son's father lost his battle with lymphoma when he was only 12 y/o and his dad was only 42.
When you get the news that you have cancer, it's a shock and in many ways you and your loved ones feel lost, not knowing where to turn or what opportunities are even out there, or soon to be out there, as treatment options. Sure your doctor and nurses are there for you but wouldn't it be nice to have another opinion, another "ear" to listen and offer advice. Having free access to other smart and caring medical professionals to help you navigate the complicated world of cancer treatment is an unbelievable opportunity and is a blessing to anyone.
Please support this amazing organization (and help me be crowned the "King of Sole" on 4/20). No donation is too small. I sure would love your support!
Thank you so very much!
Todd
