Please help me defend my crown as King of Sole by raising money for Cincinnati Cancer Advisors' mission of providing platinum-level consultative oncology services such as secondary case review, care coordination, referrals, clinical trial navigation, financial navigation, and precision oncology services including genetic testing and counseling to over 500 Greater Cincinnatians diagnosed with cancer - all at no cost to the patient, thanks to the generosity of private donors.

Eight years ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, and Steve Abbott, a former co-worker of my wife, Therese, was there for me!  Steve began his battle with prostate cancer a year before I did and continues his cancer battle today. Steve’s guidance and friendship made my journey with cancer much more bearable. Steve and his wife, Diana, work for the Cincinnati Cancer Advisors.  The Advisors’ mission is to mitigate the suffering and mortality often accompanying a cancer diagnosis. Learning that I had cancer was one of the most frightening moments of my life, especially having three young boys at that time. I had many more questions than answers and determining the best path for treatment was complicated. It was important to me to get a second opinion to ease my fear and the anxiety of my family. So, I know first-hand the benefit of receiving a timely recommendation from a caring and talented group of doctors. 

With all that said, I must defend my crown as King of Sole. Once again, I’ve agreed to let the Cincinnati Cancer Advisors take advantage of my charm and looks 😊 to raise money for this fantastic organization.

On April 25, 2024, the Cincinnati Cancer Advisors are hosting Wine Women & Shoes!  That night I will be one of the few male volunteers known as Sole Men, presenting delectable shoes and jewelry on trays to the attendees.  The Sole Man that raises the most money wins “King of Sole"!  Please help me defend my title of King of Sole! by supporting an organization near and dear to my heart.
