Please help me raise money for Cincinnati Cancer Advisors' mission of providing platinum-level consultative oncology services such as secondary case review, care coordination, referrals, clinical trial navigation, financial navigation, and precision oncology services including genetic testing and counseling to over 500 Greater Cincinnatians diagnosed with cancer - all at no cost to the patient, thanks to the generosity of private donors.
Hi, my name is Zulf Sharif. I am 53 years old and married to Gina Maccarone, MD who is a cosmetic surgeon and an avid "shoe collector". I have two children: Xavier 14 and Amaya 13.
FAVORITE SPORTS TEAM: Bengals, Reds, Detroit Redwings
HOBBIES/INTERESTS: hockey, guitar, annoying my 13 year old daughter, motor sports
FAVORITE LOCAL RESTAURANT: Nicola's
WHAT MADE YOU WANT TO BE A SOLE MAN?: My sister-in-law, Cindy Hemsath, made me do it. As a thoracic surgeon, I have spent many years dealing with cancer patients and experienced their confusion about which treatments to pursue. When Steve (CCA's Executive Director) told me about the mission of CCA, I was instantly hooked. It fills an urgent need in a vulnerable patient population. Oh, and Cindy made me do it.
